How To Register
The Social Security Scheme is a mandatory social protection scheme for all employers and employees of companies with more or equal than 10 employees. This obligation is stipulated in Prime Minister Decree No.207/PM. Besides, all small employers with less than 10 employees can register voluntarily with SSO to offer their employees a best suitable social protection.
Forms to register are available at the SSO office, and on the Internet. Mandatory member companies will usually receive these documents directly from SSO. The companies will then have to provide SSO with the required information.
For your first registration with SSO, 2 different registration forms exist:
The enterprise registration form (SSO 1-01)
The employee information form (SSO 1-02). Here, SSO requires information on each individual employee and its dependents respectively
Within one-month time the forms will have to be sent back to SSO. The SSO staff members volunteer to support the companies on how to fill the forms. Please just call SSO for further assistance.
Registration of new staff:
The employer has to register new staff members within the month the employment starts. SSO provides two different forms:
For new staff member, who have never registered with SSO, just use the above mentioned form (SSO 1-02)
For new staff members, who have already registered with SSO with another company or return to your company after a break, please register these people by using the form (SSO 1-04).
Cancellation of SSO payment for leaving staff members:
Whenever the employment of an employee is going to terminate (pension, dismissal, resignation, death), these people have to be reported to SSO by using the form (SSO 1-07). This prevents the employers from being made responsible for unnecessary contribution payments.
After the enterprises have completed and submitted their registration forms, SSO will issue a social security certificate as well as issue the SSO membership cards to the employees. The employees are recognizes as SSO members from the first month onwards, for which the company has paid contributions.
